I started a new chapter so I’d have nothing distracting me. Of all the skills that I needed, what was the first one that I needed to build? What was the foundation on which I’d build the rest? I didn’t know. But I was determined to figure it out. I had an idea. I imagined doing it in my metanovel. I tried it. It didn’t work. But I learned something. I imagined a variation. I tried it.
