I waited. And slowly the world began to change—from bright and warm and wonderful back to ordinary. The rush I’d felt when I realized that I was at the center of the universe was fading. The lightness I’d felt when I realized I was a mistake was fading. The warmth I’d felt when I realized I was surrounded by family was fading.
